Continuing Professional Development
Professional development activities are held on the Yorke Peninsula with a mixture of Category 1 and Category 2 workshops. A Needs Analysis determines the topics, which are presented along with topics from the National Health Priority Areas of cancer control, mental health, injury prevention & control, cardiovascular health, diabetes, asthma & arthritis/musculoskeletal. ACRRM PDP and RACGP CDP points are applied for all activities.

Procedural upskilling can be arranged on request.

All doctors, locums, GP Registrars, interns and medical students are invited to professional development activities along with practice nurses if the topics are appropriate.

Doctors elect which professional body they wish to belong to for maintenance of their professional development points, namely:

Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine www.acrrm.org.au
